Ubud Monkey Forest
Ubud Monkey Forest is owned by the village of Padangtegal, The monkeys within the Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal are commonly called long-tailed macaques. Their scientific name is Macaca fascicuiaris. Macaques are found throughout Southeast Asia and many species of macaques live successfully in areas that are heavily utilized by humans.
Ubud Palace is an Ubud Kingdom Palace with beautiful Balinese traditional houses as a residence of Ubud King. It is set in the center of Ubud Bali with traditional art market just in front of it and it is found by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel who has commanded from year 1800 - 1823. This palace is an artistic cultural life center.
Ubud Market is opened every day about at 08:00 until 18:00, even some from them still open until nighttime. While the traditional market for the fundamental requirement is opened everyday at 06:00. The art crafting are sold in this art market consisted of various crafting, from traditional until contemporary crafting which its price is relatively cheap.
Dreamland Beach has soft white sand and the beach is cleaner than the beaches in the main tourist areas. It is great to sit there and watch the wonderful surf and activity. Also the sunset is spectacular here. To enjoy the beach, it is best if you stay in the area as it is not within walking distance from Kuta Center.
Uluwatu Temple lies at the southern tip of Bali in Badung Regency. Dedicated to the spirits of the sea, the famous Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple is an architectural wonder in black coral rock, beautifully designed with spectacular views. This is a popular place to enjoy the sunset and famous not only for its unique position.
Kecak and Fire Dance
Kecak Dance is an unusual Balinese dance for a couple of reasons. First, there is no musical accompaniment. The gamelan is not there. Rhythm is provided by a chanting monkey chorus. The polyrhythmic sound of the chanting provides the name, Ke-chak. Amongst the swaying masses the voices of the storytellers can be heard telling the unfolding tale.
